    Gluten-free, natural, and delicious! This acorn flour is processed locally and is made from Los Angeles Valley Oak trees. A rare treat as most acorn flour is processed overseas.

    Acorn flour is a laborious process. See below for how this acorn flour is prepared:
    Step 1: Acorns are sorted for use, ensuring no holes
    Step 2: Acorn nuts are dried for several months before processing
    Step 3: Nuts are cracked and shelled, throwing away any nuts that are black or deformed
    Step 4: Valley oak acorns are preferred as they can be up to two inches long and an inch wide; fewer nuts have to be produced to make a batch
    Step 5: Acorns are boiled to remove tannins
    Step 6: Nuts are dehydrated and ground into a flour
